| Size: |
339 acres
|
| Location: |
Town of Ontario |
| Description: |
This property consists
of orchards, row crops and hay, pasture, old growth forest,
and a small portion of wetlands. It is also crossed by Dennison
Creek. |
| History: |
A conservation easement
was granted by Albright Farms, Inc. in 2007 to Genesee Land
Trust and the Town of Ontario. The purchase of the conservation
easement was funded by grants from the New York State Department
of Agriculture and Markets Farmland Protection Program and
the Federal Farm and Ranchlands Protection Program of the
Natural Resources Conservation Service. |
| Public Access: |
Although Genesee Land Trust occasionally
invites members on outings to a conservation easement property
with the owner's consent, conservation easement properties
remain private property and therefore no public access is
permitted.
