HSBC Awards Genesee Land Trust $15,000
Genesee Land Trust, a land preservation organization, has won funding in the amount of $15,000 from HSBC Bank, USA, N.A. for continued support of its strategic conservation initiatives in the Greater Rochester area. HSBC has been a stronger supporter of the Trust since 2002.
“Genesee Land Trust is excited and honored to be the recipient of substantial and consistent support from HSBC, “says Gay Mills, executive director, ‘and this gift gives us a great boost as we continue our work, helping to make possible the acquisition of critical habitat, the completion of a walking, biking greenway through the city, El Camino, while managing thousands of acres of preserves, easements and partnerships with towns throughout Monroe and Wayne Counties.”
Genesee Land Trust was founded by Rochesterians in 1989. Nearly 1000 families are members of the local non-profit.
