HSBC Presents Check To Genesee Land Trust On November 1, 2008

Genesee Land Trust’s annual fundraiser, The Forever Green Auction, to be held Saturday November 1st at Artisanworks on Blossom Rd. in Rochester, will include an exciting announcement.  HSBC Bank, USA, N.A. will present the local non-profit with a check in the amount of $15,000 for the general support of Genesee Land Trust’s land preservation projects.  HSBC has gifted the Trust with outstanding support every year since 2002 with contributions totaling $160,000.  Additionally, HSBC in Rochester has underwritten the Forever Green Auction and will be present also to enjoy the festivities.

As a successful, but small non-profit, protecting natural habitats, woods, wetlands and farms in the Greater Rochester area, Genesee Land Trust relies on memberships, grants and corporate support to continue to do its work.  Currently the land trust protects over 3,000 acres in greater Rochester and saw an increase of 20% in preserved areas just last year.
