Genesee Land Trust Awarded $15,000 From HSBC

Genesee Land Trust was recently awarded $15,000 from HSBC Bank, U.S.A., N.A. to fund additional enhancements to Conkey Corner Park and El Camino Trail, two primary urban projects of the organization. Additional landscaping, hardscaping, kiosk and seating will be added to the park and trail head aided by HSBC support. The award comes at a time when Genesee Land Trust, the City of Rochester, and additional partners are preparing for the Ribbon Cutting of El Camino which will take place this fall. HSBC Bank is singularly the largest corporate sponsor in the history of the non-profit. Executive Director, Gay Mills noted that HSBC’s continued philanthropic commitment has played a very positive role for the Trust and has contributed greatly to its success over many years, adding “One cannot underestimate the importance of corporate support in our communities.”

Genesee Land Trust is the Rochester area’s local land and waterway preservation organization. Founded in 1989, Genesee Land Trust now protects nearly 4000 acres primarily in Monroe and Wayne Counties. Its office is located at 46 Prince Street, Rochester, NY 14607
