Weber Farm Conservation Easement

In partnership with the Town of Walworth

Size:

123 acres

Location:

Town of Walworth

Description:

Rolling open farm fields of prime soils adjacent to the Keyes Farm. In addition, an area of woodlands consisting of deciduous species and evergreens are located in the northwest corner of the property.

History:

A conservation easement was granted by Emil Weber in 2007 to Genesee Land Trust and the Town of Walworth.  The purchase of this conservation easement was funded by grants from the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Farmland Protection Program and the Federal Farm and Ranchlands Protection Program of the Natural Resources Conservation Service.

Public Access:

Although Genesee Land Trust occasionally invites members on outings to a conservation easement property with the owner’s consent, conservation easement properties remain private property and therefore no public access is permitted.
