Town of Walworth

Extensive apple orchards on rolling hills as well as small stands of peach and some strawberries. Several small woodlots and open fields are interspersed between different ages orchards.

History:

A conservation easement was granted by Dave and Diane Wilbert to Genesee Land Trust and the Town of Walworth in 2008.   The purchase of this conservation easement was funded by grants from the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Farmland Protection Program and the Federal Farm and Ranchlands Protection Program of the Natural Resources Conservation Service.

Public Access:

Although Genesee Land Trust occasionally invites members on outings to a conservation easement property with the owner’s consent, conservation easement properties remain private property and therefore no public access is permitted.
