Molly worked on a variety of tasks, including preparing an online silent auction, researching climate change, and uncovering the history of Cornwall Preserve. Molly took photos at nature preserves, along the Genesee River, and of our youth employment program at work. We were glad to have Molly join our team over the summer and wish her the best of luck in college.

This position challenged me to change my own lifestyle in order to start living as environmentally conscious as possible. This internship was unbelievably insightful and fulfilling, and I am incredibly grateful to have spent my summer working for a great organization with an even greater mission.

Molly Sauter spent the summer of 2020 with us learning about the land conservation world and providing virtual and in-person help for staff. When looking for a summer internship, the Genesee Land Trust opportunity stood out to her. Molly grew up on the street where Hipp Brook Preserve is located, and she was looking to give back to her community.

In my childhood it was cool to go there (Hipp Brook Preserve) and escape into nature.
