Trail Keepers is a volunteer group that gets together each month to work on trail and habitat improvement projects at Genesee Land Trust nature preserves. If you’re interested in getting outside, meeting others who care about the environment, and picking up some outdoor skills—Trail Keepers is the opportunity for you!

Volunteers of all ages and skills are encouraged to join. Tools, appropriate tasks, and guidance will be provided along with fun and snacks. Typically, events take place on the third Thursday or Saturday of each month, May through October. Some events may take place out of this regular rotation due to availability of materials, such as spring tree planting events. View the current listing of Trail Keepers events here.

The best way to get involved and stay up to date on volunteer events, sign up below for the Trail Keepers email list. Signing up does not commit you to attend every event—you are welcome to join whenever works for you. You’ll receive monthly updates on upcoming events and projects from Genesee Land Trust’s Preserve Manager, Will Macaluso. If you have specific questions, please email Will, at wmacaluso@geneseelandtrust.org.

Our nature preserves and trails are looking good thanks to these dedicated Trail Keeper volunteers!
