Give Through Your Will - Become a Legacy Donor

Your love of the land can live on . With a planned gift, you can leave a legacy for the land. There are lots of planned gift options, and together with your tax advisor, we can find a way to achieve your goals to protect local lands and waterways for future generations.

Remembering Genesee Land Trust in your will with a bequest – a big gift that costs you nothing in your lifetime. A bequest in a will or trust can be as simple as “I give $XXX (or, I give Y% of my Residuary Estate) to Genesee Land Trust, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization with offices at 46 Prince Street, Suite LL005, Rochester, NY 14607.”

Including Genesee Land Trust as a beneficiary on a retirement account or annuity – a gift that can plan for a special gift and potentially avoid a significant income tax burden for your heirs. To name Genesee Land Trust as a beneficiary of a retirement account or annuity, you will need to file a Change of Beneficiary form with the company holding the account to add Genesee Land Trust, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization with offices at 46 Prince Street, Suite LL005, Rochester, NY 14607.

Naming Genesee Land Trust as a beneficiary of life insurance – planning for a significant gift with a known amount. In order to direct all or a portion of a life insurance policy to Genesee Land Trust, you will need to complete and submit a Change of Beneficiary form available from the Insurance Company to add Genesee Land Trust, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization with offices at 46 Prince Street, Suite LL005, Rochester, NY 14607.
