This month Trail Keepers visit Genesee Land Trust's newest nature preserve in the Village of Sodus Point. This preserve offers a mix of habitats including wooded uplands and shrub-swamp wetlands. We will meet on the east side of Seaman Street in the Village of Sodus Point. Look for a white “Genesee Land Trust Event” sign. We will work on creating a brand-new trail, picking up trash, and removing invasive shrubs. Please park along the shoulder of the road.

Trail Keepers is a volunteer trail program designed to give local trails a boost. Meeting the third Thursday of each month, this group gets together to work on trail-related projects at different Genesee Land Trust nature preserves. If you’re interested in getting outside, meeting others who care about nature, and picking up some outdoor skills, Trail Keepers is the opportunity for you!
We’ll bring the tools for the job and snacks. Please dress appropriately for field work and bring your own water bottle. Contact Kevin Farrell at kfarrell@geneseelandtrust.org with any questions.
