Explore the shady cool creek and the sunny, butterfly-filled meadow at this beautiful property with our Preserve Manager and the Canandaigua Botanical Society.

ROCHESTER - Celebrate the Genesee River at this new community party. We’re closing Driving Park Bridge and taking it over with LIVE entertainment, free food, games, local vendors, info tables and more! You can also join a guided tour of Lower Falls to learn about its vibrant history, including its role in the Underground Railroad.

MACEDON
A volunteer work event for all ages to help construct a trail bridge at this beautiful, butterfly-filled property.

IONIA
Watch the sun set and enjoy s’mores around a bonfire to celebrate the Summer Solstice. On the longest day of the year we’ll tour Wild Hill Farm (an organic CSA) and learn about it from farmer Erin Bullock. Genesee Land Trust protected this land so it will always grow food, not houses.

PARMA
A volunteer work event for all ages to help construct the all-new accessible observation deck at Salmon Creek Nature Preserve.

ROCHESTER

Williamson
Enjoy hands-on art activities for all ages as we celebrate the beauty of Lake Ontario. From apple stamps and photo classes to a poetry writing workshop and Plein Air painting demos - there’s something for everyone. Free arts and crafts supplies will be available.

WEBSTER
Come plant trees and enjoy magnificent old growth woods with us and Friends of Webster Trails. There’s something to do for all ages and abilities.

WILLIAMSON
A volunteer work event for all ages to help maintain the trails along the shore of Lake Ontario at Cornwall Preserve.

Meet the local artist that made “Bobolink” - the 2023 RoCo exhibit winner of the Genesee Land Trust award for art that celebrates nature. Julie Lambert will share her paper-making process and her inspiration for the piece, as well as how nature plays into her work overall. Advance registration appreciated.

Beat the winter blues with a 1-hour morning walk along the Genesee River. Join Kevin Farrell, Director of Conservation Programs, as we explore part of Genesee Valley Park.

Start off the year with a gentle walk along the flat, stone dust Genesee Greenway Trail. We’ll meet at Brookdale Preserve, and folks can go up to 4 miles round trip. Warm drinks and light snacks will be provided.
