The Trail Keepers season kicks off for 2024 with a visit to Cornwall Preserve in Williamson. For this event we’ll getting the trails ready for the busy season. We plan to trim branches from the trail, remove debris, clean bird nesting boxes, and work on some repairs on the Throop trail boardwalk to improve accessibility.
Cornwall Preserve offers spectacular views of Lake Ontario, important habitat, active peach and apple orchards, and walking trails. The Preserve provides homes for a variety of special plants and animals including migratory birds, raptors, pollinators, small mammals, and amphibians.
All ages and ability levels are encouraged to sign-up; there will be a job for everyone. Please dress appropriately for working outdoors (sturdy footwear, long pants, sun protection). We suggest you bring a water bottle and work gloves. Tools and instruction will be provided.
