Join Genesee Land Trust and Friends of Webster Trails for a Thursday afternoon event at Gosnell Big Woods in Webster, just like the old days! We will be planting trees and shrubs purchased from the New York State Seedling Sale. Gosnell Big Woods contains majestic old-growth forest, open field, and a small meadow. The Big Woods are owned by the Town of Webster with additional protection by Genesee Land Trust. Friends of Webster Trails maintains a variety of trails throughout the preserve and is helping to replant the forest understory with their ReTree Webster initiative.
All ages and ability levels are encouraged to sign-up; there will be a job for everyone. Please dress appropriately for working outdoors (sturdy footwear, long pants, sun protection). We suggest you bring a water bottle and work gloves. Tools and instruction will be provided.
To attend you must sign-up below. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well. An email reminder will be sent the week of the event with directions and parking details. Contact Will Macaluso at wmacaluso@geneseelandtrust.org with questions.
