Join Genesee Land Trust for a weekend work party at Ganargua Creek Meadow Preserve in Macedon. We’ll be building a new bridge at the Preserve to improve accessibility during high water events. Depending on volunteer availability there may be other habitat maintenance projects going on simultaneously.
Ganargua Creek Meadow Preserve is an exceptional spot for butterflies, dragonflies, and wildflowers. The Preserve includes grassy meadows, woodlands, and access to the winding Ganargua Creek. If visiting in the spring, look for wildflowers in the woods and if visiting in the summer look in the meadows. There are several locations to access Ganargua Creek for fishing.
All ages and ability levels are encouraged to sign-up; there will be a job for everyone. Please dress appropriately for working outdoors (sturdy footwear, long pants, sun protection). We suggest you bring a water bottle and work gloves. Tools and instruction will be provided.
To attend, you must sign-up. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well. An email reminder will be sent the day before the event with directions and parking details. With event or accessibility questions contact Will Macaluso at wmacaluso@geneseelandtrust.org.
About Trail Keepers
