Enjoy the sunset and celebrate the summer solstice by visiting a beautiful organic vegetable farm in the Hamlet of Ionia (Bloomfield). This protected land is home to Wild Hill Farm and was conserved by Hank Stebbins.
On the longest day of the year we will walk the rolling hills and fields with farmer Erin Bullock to learn how she grows food for hundreds of families in her CSA.
We’ll also have a bonfire for you to toast marshmallows and make s’mores (while supplies last. We’ll have a box of GF graham crackers.)
Erin’s farm stand will be open. Please bring cash if you plan to buy produce.
All ages are welcome - please be careful with children around the fire.
Accessibility: Please leave pets at home. Service animals are always welcome. There is one bathroom available in the barn - it is not ADA accessible. The terrain is rolling hills. There is ample parking.
Please Bring: a water bottle, chairs/blankets, sticks for roasting marshmallows (we’ll also have some to borrow). You might want a warm layer as the sun goes down. Closed-toe shoes you don’t mind getting dirty are strongly recommended.
Directions: From the Hamlet of Mendon, travel south on Rt. 64 for 4.7 miles. Turn right on Elton Rd. Wild Hill Farm is half a mile down the road on your right. Look for “Genesee Land Trust Event” sign.
If you have any questions or need support to attend, please contact our Director of Communications and Inclusion Coordinator - Elliotte Bowerman ebowerman@geneseelandtrust.org
Your RSVP will help us plan for supplies and parking. Thank you!
