This month, Trail Keepers will visit Deer Creek Woods in Ontario. This is Genesee Land Trust’s newest nature preserve and will become open to the public the following weekend. Join us this weekend for a sneak peek as we put the finishing touches on the preserve for the grand opening! We will trim vegetation from the trail and remove invasive shrubs along the creek banks.
(The property is on Lake Rd. in the Town of Ontario, near the edge of Webster. The exact address will be given closer to the event - apologies for the secrecy as it’s not public info just yet.)
All ages and ability levels are encouraged to sign-up; there will be a job for everyone. Please dress appropriately for working outdoors (sturdy footwear, long pants, sun protection). We suggest you bring a water bottle and work gloves. Tools and instruction will be provided.
To attend, you must sign-up below. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well. An email reminder will be sent the day before the event with directions and parking details. With event or accessibility questions contact Will Macaluso at wmacaluso@geneseelandtrust.org.
About Trail Keepers
