Rochester's urban corridor along the river is about 13 miles long, and in 2020 the Genesee River Alliance wants to explore most of it by walking at least a mile a month!
On the 2nd Saturday of each month, we will host a guided walk, ending in December. This month, we’ll walk along the river trail through the University of Rochester campus. This month’s walk is rescheduled from February 8.
Description: A 2.5-mile round trip walk along the Genesee Riverway Trail north through the University of Rochester and then cross the Old Railroad Bridge and come back on the west side of the river.
Meeting Spot: Genesee Valley Park Sports Complex
Please Note: Rain/snow or shine – dress for the weather. We will provide light refreshments. Please bring your cameras and if you would like, you may bring your dog on a leash.
See parts of the river that perhaps you've never seen, learn some of its history, and take a few beautiful river photographs along the way! Be sure to tag them - #mileamonth, #walktheGenesee.
