Habitat Management Walk at Macyville Woods

  • Macyville Woods Nature Preserve 7474 Seaman Street Sodus Point, NY, 14555 United States (map)

Improving Habitat through Invasive Species Management

Update: This walk has reached the 15 person capacity. Please check out the Ganargua Creek Meadow Preserve walk scheduled for November 27 if you’re interested in another guided walk.

Enjoy a guided walk along Macyville Woods Nature Preserve trails. We will point out and discuss invasive plants that we have been removing from the preserve over the past few months as well as the new native plantings that replaced the invasive species. This project was supported with a grant from Finger Lakes PRISM (Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management).

The trails at Macyville Woods are mostly flat but some sections are more difficult than others. Please dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes or boots and a face covering. Parking available along the road near the preserve entrance at 7474 Seaman Street. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well.
