Join Genesee River Alliance as we kick off the 2021 series of Mile-A-Month walks!
This tour includes the historic Maplewood Park designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, which features a nationally accredited rose garden. There’s also the spectacular 110-foot waterfall at Lower Falls Park, a second waterfall at Middle Falls, a hydro station, and more!
This is a guided family-friendly walk, and all ages and abilities are encouraged to walk with us.
Please dress appropriately for walking and the weather (sturdy footwear, sun protection, and clothing to accommodate the temperature). Light refreshments will be provided at the end of the walk.
To attend you must sign up below. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well. There are two start times, one at 10am and the other at 11:30am. Each walk is 70 minutes long. There are 20 spots available for each tour. We will meet in the Maplewood Park parking lot. Contact Helen Dumas at hdumas@geneseelandtrust.org with questions.
In accordance with the latest CDC guidance, masks are optional for fully vaccinated attendees. Please continue to be respectful of other attendees and social distance where it’s possible to do so. We know there are varying levels of comfort with these changes and ask for your patience while we navigate this transition together.
