Join the Genesee River Alliance for an exciting guided ROC the Riverway tour! We’ll meet at Genesee Gateway Park and walk north along the river past the popular Skate Park and the recently completed Promenade at Erie Harbor. We’ll learn about updates on ROC the Riverway projects including the Aqueduct and the Rundel Library North Terrace. We’ll also hear about projects happening on the west side of the river as we return on the trail to Genesee Gateway Park.
This walk is being led by Erik Frisch, ROC the Riverway project manager, and Kevin Kelley, manager of city planning. This is a guided family-friendly/pet-friendly walk. All ages and abilities are encouraged to join us. Strollers are also welcomed. Light refreshments will be provided at the end of the walk.
There are two start times, one at 10am and the other at 11:30am. Each walk is approximately 60 minutes, and there are 20 spots available for each tour. Parking is available on street on Mt. Hope Ave. and the side streets off Mt. Hope Ave. Contact Helen Dumas at hdumas@geneseelandtrust.org with questions.
Please continue to be respectful of other attendees and social distance where it’s possible to do so. We know there are varying levels of comfort with these changes and ask for your patience while we navigate this transition together.
Please note that the 10am walk is full. You can still register for the 11:30am walk.
