Join the Genesee River Alliance and City of Rochester officials for an exciting, guided walk on July 23!
We’ll meet at The North Star Commons, located at the intersection of Exchange Boulevard and Fitzhugh Place, where we’ll get an up-close look at the recently completed West River Wall improvements. Then we will walk north past the Blue Cross Arena and learn about developing plans for improvements there, as well as the Aqueduct Reimagined project. We’ll also learn about progress on the Genesee Gateway Park project happening on the east side as we return on the trail toward Cornhill Landing.
This walk will be led by Kamal Crues, ROC the Riverway Project Manager, and Kevin Kelley, Manager of City Planning. This is a guided family-friendly/pet-friendly walk. All ages and abilities are encouraged to join us. Strollers are also welcomed. Light refreshments will be provided at the end of the walk.
There are two start times, one at 10am and the other at 11:30am. Each walk is approximately 60 minutes, and there are 25 spots available for each tour. Parking is available on street on Exchange Blvd. and the side streets off Exchange Blvd.
Meeting Location: 420 Exchange Blvd, Rochester, NY 14608
Pre-registration required.
UPDATE: Only the 11:30 am session is available. If you are interested but can’t attend one of these times, please contact Helen Dumas at hdumas@geneseelandtrust.org with questions.
Please continue to be respectful of other attendees and social distance where it’s possible to do so. We know there are varying levels of comfort and ask for your patience while we navigate this transition together.
