Join us for a 1-mile guided tour along the Genesee River through Seneca Park on August 13. Genesee River Alliance has partnered with Dave Will, Community Science Coordinator and the Urban Ecologists at the Seneca Park Zoo to bring you the next Mile-A-Month walk.
This “Wilderness” park has some amazing views of the Genesee River Gorge. As we head north on the Genesee Riverway Trail we’ll learn about various flora, fauna, and natural habitats in the park. You might even see some Herons, Osprey and Hawks!
This is a guided family-friendly walk (pets are not recommended). All ages and abilities are encouraged to join us. Some rough terrain may be difficult for strollers to navigate. Light refreshments will be provided at the end of the walk.
There are two start times, one at 10am and the other at 11:30am. Each walk is approximately 60 minutes, and there are 25 spots available for each tour. Parking is available at the Wegman’s Shelter on Zoo Road. Contact Helen Dumas at hdumas@geneseelandtrust.org with any questions.
Meeting location: Seneca Park 2222 St. Paul St. Rochester NY 14621
Pre-registration required.
Please continue to be respectful of other attendees and social distance where it’s possible to do so. We know there are varying levels of comfort and ask for your patience while we navigate this together.
