Join Genesee Land Trust for a weekend work party at Brookdale Preserve in Chili. We’ll trim vegetation from the Brook Road spur trail, remove invasive shrubs around the farm pond, and finish spreading mulch on wet areas of the trails. This 275-acre nature preserve is home to a number of unique plant and animal species and was acquired by the land trust in 1998.
All ages and ability levels are encouraged to sign-up; there will be a job for everyone. Please dress appropriately for working outdoors (sturdy footwear, long pants, sun protection). We suggest you bring a water bottle and work gloves. Tools and snacks will be provided.
To attend you must sign up below. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well. An email reminder will be sent the week of the event with directions and parking details. Contact Will Macaluso at wmacaluso@geneseelandtrust.org with questions.
About Work Parties
Work Parties are weekend volunteer events where new and experienced volunteers work with Genesee Land Trust staff on trail and habitat improvement projects. If you’ve got some time on the weekends and an interest in giving back to your local conservation lands we invite you to join in on the work party fun.
