Join Genesee River Alliance and JoAnn Beck, former City of Rochester Senior Landscape Architect, for the next mile walk at Turning Point Park. Take a guided tour of this park located in the Charlotte neighborhood near Lake Ontario. We’ll explore the surrounding "Bullocks Woods" and walk along the award-winning boardwalk that extends out onto the Genesee River while hearing the interesting details of how it was designed and built. We’ll also learn about the fascinating Turning Point Rain Garden and how it works to keep the river clean.
This is a guided family-friendly walk. All ages and abilities are encouraged to join us. Strollers are also welcomed. Light refreshments will be provided at the end of the walk.
To attend you must sign up below. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well. There are two start times, one at 10am and the other at 11:30am. Each walk is 60 minutes, and there are 20 spots available for each tour. Parking is available in the parking lot at 260 Boxart Street. Contact Helen Dumas at hdumas@geneseelandtrust.org with questions. Update: Both walk times are full.
