Trail Keepers visit Macyville Woods Nature Preserve this month for continued work on invasive plant removal, trail maintenance, and trash pickup. Macyville Woods is Genesee Land Trust’s newest nature preserve in historic Sodus Point and offers a scenic trail and important habitat for birds.
All ages and ability levels are encouraged to sign up. There will be a job for everyone. Please dress appropriately for working outdoors (sturdy footwear and long pants, sun and insect protection). We suggest you bring a water bottle and work gloves. Tools and snacks will be provided.
To attend you must sign up below. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well. An email reminder will be sent the week of the event with directions and parking details. Contact Will Macaluso at wmacaluso@geneseelandtrust.org with questions.
In accordance with the latest CDC guidance, masks are optional for fully vaccinated attendees. Please continue to be respectful of other attendees and social distance where it’s possible to do so. We know there are varying levels of comfort with these changes and ask for your patience while we navigate this transition together. We will also practice social distancing while together.
About Trail Keepers

If you’re interested in volunteering outside, picking up some outdoor skills, and meeting others who care about the environment, Trail Keepers is the opportunity for you.
