Enjoy the fall weather and seasonal colors in North Rose, NY. Martha and Jim Miller will share their favorite spots as they lead walkers around a level half-mile loop trail on their wooded conservation land. You'll see various hardwood species such as oaks and maples. In addition, there is a large plantation of spruce, pine, fir, and larch trees planted by a previous owner. Genesee Land Trust staff will be on hand to answer questions about the easement and forestry on conservation lands.
Directions: The property is around 30 miles from Webster and only a few miles from Cracker Box Palace at Alasa Farms. Follow Route 104 east past Sodus. After you pass Alton, look for Brick Schoolhouse Road, and turn right on it. After a mile or so, you will cross railroad tracks. The Miller property is on the left after a few hundred yards. Look for the ‘Genesee Land Trust Event’ sign. Please park on the same side of the road. There are no restrooms onsite.
