Genesee River Alliance and the Eastman School of Music Environmental Activism Club are partnering for a spring clean-up on the Genesee River! The Club promotes sustainability at the Eastman School of Music and engages with local environmental organizations in Rochester.
Join us on April 2 for a trash pick-up on a section of the Genesee Riverway Trail. We will start at Maplewood Park and clean along the trail at Lower Falls and then across Middle Falls to Brewer Street.
All ages and abilities are encouraged to join us. Gloves, trash nabbers and garbage bags will be provided (if you have your own equipment, you are welcome to bring it). Please dress appropriately for the weather with sturdy footwear and bring a water bottle. Light refreshments will be provided after the clean-up.
We will park and meet in the parking lot at the park at 250 Maplewood Ave at 10 am and work until 12 pm. Pre-registration is required, there are 20 spots available. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well.
