Join us to celebrate the public opening of Salmon Creek Nature Preserve in Hilton/Parma. All ages and abilities are welcome.
Bring your binoculars to join our bird walks, and we’ll have a few to borrow. Explore the wide grassy trails and visit with plein air painters around the preserve. Learn about our conservation efforts and plans for protecting the land, water, and wildlife. Share your ideas for how to improve the preserve, and nature-based programs we could offer. Connect with your neighbors and community.

Salmon Creek Nature Preserve is a mix of grassland meadow (newly planted to replace a corn field), wetlands and woods with a pretty pond and the creek running along the property’s edge. It is adjacent to the Braddock Bay Wildlife Management Area, creating a large block of grassland for migratory and local birds. Genesee Land Trust purchased the 29 acres in late 2021, and has been working to plant a meadow and more trees, remove invasive species, create trails and install a parking lot.
