Our celebration of Earth Month focuses on the geology of special places we’ve protected.
Join Tyler Lucero, an environmental science educator, for a Geological Tour at Corbett’s Glen. The landscape of Corbett’s Glen – with its picturesque falls and gullies – is a text from which the area’s primordial story can be read. Learn to interpret the earth’s geologic language from stones and sands and uncover a history of continental collisions and colossal ice sheets.
This is a guided family and pet-friendly walk. All ages are encouraged to join us.
Accessibility: This one-mile walk is on an even grade around the glen. Expect to be on your feet for the duration of the walk, though seating may be available at some stops. ASL interpreter available upon request.
Walks are 60 minutes and will begin at 1 pm and 3 pm. UPDATE: Space is only available for 3pm.
There are 25 spots available for each tour. To attend you must sign up below.
Please dress appropriately for walking and the weather (sturdy footwear, and clothing to accommodate the temperature). Please bring a reusable water bottle.
Meet at the tunnel - the Glen Rd. entrance (approximately 69 Glen Road, Brighton), observing sign-posted parking regulations. Street parking is limited at this entrance.
Parking note: There is a large parking lot at the main entrance to Corbett’s Glen. If you park there, walk the trail (including a steep portion) to the tunnel. If you need a flat walk, make sure to use the Glen Rd. entrance.
Covid safety: In accordance with the latest CDC guidance, masks are optional for fully vaccinated attendees. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well for any reason.
(This event is now at capacity. Thank you for your interest.)
