This 1.5-hr workshop will be a short informal walk at Genesee Land Trust's Brookdale Preserve, where you will learn how to recognize and assess deer impacts in the forest, led by Cornell University’s Kristi Sullivan. You will also get hands-on experience establishing Assess Vegetation for Impacts from Deer (AVID) plots. The data we collect will help the land trust understand deer impacts at the Brookdale Preserve, and you will leave feeling confident and ready to establish plots on your own land or land in your community. You can choose your own site, or we will help match you with a local forest landowner or land trust property.
Please RSVP below. An email will be sent with details a few days before the event.
