Join Genesee Land Trust for our annual Halloween work party at Cornwall Preserve in Williamson. We’ll be cutting trees, shrubs, and removing invasive Japanese knotweed from meadow along with trimming up hiking trails. Please dress for the weather as it can be extra windy and cool up on Lake Ontario. Land Trust staff will have tools for you to use but you’re welcome to bring a favorite pair of loppers or hand saw. Halloween costumes encouraged!
All ages and ability levels are encouraged to sign-up; there will be a job for everyone. Please dress appropriately for working outdoors (sturdy footwear, long pants, sun protection). We suggest you bring a water bottle and work gloves. Tools and snacks will be provided.
To attend you must sign up below. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well. An email reminder will be sent the week of the event with directions and parking details. Contact Will Macaluso at wmacaluso@geneseelandtrust.org with questions.
About Work Parties
Work Parties are weekend volunteer events where new and experienced volunteers work with Genesee Land Trust staff on trail and habitat improvement projects. If you’ve got some time on the weekends and an interest in giving back to your local conservation lands we invite you to join in on the work party fun.
